Kathryn hits the jackpot!

Kathryn Finney, Birdwatch Ireland's Breeding Wader management Officer, was out counting waders at Shannon Harbour, Co. Offaly, Ireland, when she came across a flock of 700 Black-tailed Godwits. She managed to read the ring colour combinations of seven birds. The birds were all ringed in Iceland. Some had not been seen since they were colour ringed, one had been seen here in Cork Harbour and another had been seen in Clonakilty in west Cork and also in Langstone Harbour in Hampshire, England where Pete Potts and the Farlington Ringing Group are based. Well done Kathryn!
