One of Ireland's most popular television magazine programmes Nationwide will feature a piece on the International Schools Godwit Project. Maria Mularkey and cameraman Seamus from RTE spent a morning in Mr. Willie McSweeney's class interviewing Willie and the pupils for the programme. They all had a great time and were well able to answer any questions posed by Maria. It is hoped that the piece will also feature some of the film shot by John Murphy and Stan Nugent of Waxwing Products. John and Stan are currently putting together a full length documentary on the International Godwit Project and filmed the class on an outing to Glounthaune last week. They also filmed a godwit catch at Siglufjordur last July featuring pupils, teachers, parents from Siglufjordur and operation godwit team members led by Pete Potts. It is hoped that this will also feature on the programme. The programme is due to be aired on the 11th December and will be available to view on-line shortly afterwards. We will send out the link once it is on-line.
