Garden Bird Surveys
Each year pupils from 4th, 5th and 6th classes take part in the Winter Garden Bird Survey run by BirdWatch Ireland, of which the school is a member. From December to February we have been checking what birds visit the gardens of Cobh! The pupils check their own gardens and in school we see what birds come to the school grounds. Our bird table, therefore, is a great centre of activity right through the year. At the end of February we put together all the results and the following are the Top Ten Birds that visited Cobhs gardens since 1995.
